I've come here multiple times specifically for the jacklinks sausage pupusa after night outs or even for lunch. It's definitely the best pupusa I've had so far. I've also tried shredded chicken & pork pupusas but they don't quite hit the same (it feels more bland?) Even when it's crammed with people, food always comes out within 10 minutes. The place is also really cute because it makes you feel like you're truly abroad. Sometimes there will be people with guitars singing in the back.
We need an update! Their food is still amazing! Their tamales de pollo are delicious and some of the best I've tried in all of California. I also love their atole de elote (only served in three winter). As for their pupusas, they are tasty and not greasy which is good. They could use some more filling but overall very tasty! Their service is also spot on. They recently made a mistake with our order and they took total accountability, apologized and made it up to us. Which is not something you see at other restaurants. They really are great!
Food was really good very convenient. The customer service here is on point. I only had to wait like 5 to 8 minutes for the food. The ambience here is very nice it feels like I am in Central America and Salvador. They almost as well feels like an In-N-Out because the line goes through the middle of the restaurant. The only reason why I'm giving it a four star is because when I was sitting down eating with my girlfriend, I felt like there were flies. Other than that the food is really good and the people who work here are very very nice. We spent about $37 and we got really full.
Amazing pupusas that just hit different after a night out. I love to see a place like this busy on a Friday night. No notes.
Came here late night and there were quite a few people in line to order. Note that there is a cash and card price when you order. Self serve yourself water at the counter. The pork pupusa was so good... a slight crisp on the outside with cheese and pork in the middle. Will have to try the combo orders next time!
The pupusa GOAT in SF. I've been a couple times at this point, all later weekend evenings between 12-1am after an evening out in the Mission. Currently also the best pupusas I've ever has too. Ordering is straightforward. Counter ordering where they give you a number and bring the food out to you. Big menu on the wall as well as small menus at the ordering counter. I recommend getting the combo 1, which includes two pupusas, beans, guac, fried plantains, cream, and slaw. Make one of your pupusas garlic and mushroom. Just trust me here. Make the second one a meat option. The pupusas are loaded, savory, and straight up hit the spot. They also have a breakfast which I'm thinking I'd love to try next.
Great pupusas in Mission. They seem pretty busy. I love getting their combos since it'll have guac, plantains, and some beans :)
I really liked: Pork Pupusa Beef Pupusa Chicken tamales I liked: Plantain empanada Beans & Guacamole Mushroom and Garlic Pupusa Insanely VALUE #goodeats, I am SO full off of a $16 plate. Whatever this red sauce is, it's incredible on everything here. I think my mushroom and garlic was a fluke, lots of people recommended it and mine was just kinda plain, especially compared to everything else. The restaurant is super cute. It's very apparent they put a ton of effort into making the place feel like we're no longer in SF and in a magical place where food isn't $20 dollars minimum Decently fast service, we didn't interact with them much since bussed our own plates.
I had not been here since pre pandemic and I'm so glad we stopped in last weekend! Order at the counter, grab your number and wait for your food. :) We got the combo #1 with a pork pupusa and jalapeño pupusa. The pork is classic, but the jalapeño was soooo good. I'll definitely order that again. The plate also comes with refried black beans, plantains, guac and crema. My partner and I shared this since we're weren't starving. Honestly it is a lot of food for one person even if you're really hungry! Try the horchata if you're feeling something creamy but different than the usual Mexican horchata!
I'm so glad I stopped here because the pupusas are delicious! I highly recommend the REVUELTAS in the COMBO #1. Their plantains that come with it were perfect and their beans, red salsa, and curtido were on point. Very friendly service, too! I would definitely come back for more pupusas and I for sure wanna try their tacos and other dishes. Thank you for a great first pupusa experience in the bay!
